C1934
Daybed designed by Jules Leleu and manufactured by Jean Prouvé for the Plateau d’Assy Sanatorium in 1934. Steel mesh structure with its original paint, solid oak feet and original oak armrests.
The mattress was made by Jeanne Tresvaux du Fraval using antique linen and cotton sheets, and is filled with hemp and wool.
Dimensions: W. 68.5 cm / D. 175 cm / H. 87.5 cm
Please note that the original oak armrests are included with the daybed and will be supplied with the piece. They can be seen in the last photograph. I have chosen not to install them for the presentation, simply because I personally prefer the cleaner look without them, but this is entirely a matter of taste.
